Laundry Day: My Sheet Mask Heaven

I believe in the power of an at home facial. You can get into your skin and work it out right in the comfort of your own livingroom/bathroom. You can do it anywhere or anyway your little heart desires. I personally like to get my skincare in whilst folding the dreaded laundry or cleaning my apartment.

You know your skin better than any stranger danger out there waiting anxiously with a vat of some unknown “miracle” concoction that will give you the skin of your dreams or the skin of your worse nightmare. Maybe I’m bitter about a few horrible facials I’ve had done in the past by “professionals”. I will spare you the traumatic details.

Lately I’ve been doing all kinds of ish to my skin to get it to behave properly. One of my favorite things to do is a sheet mask at least 3 times a week. I love sheet masks. They are an important component to my weekly skincare routine.

I have paid anywhere from $2.99 for an individual mask to $9. $4.99 for a box of 6 masks to $40 for a box of 4 masks. Honestly, the lower priced masks are excellent quality and work better than most high end masks. Dr. Jart and Karuna are two of the high end masks that I frequently use. Celkin and Naisture are two of the least expensive brands that I use. They all work great. They all have a different purpose. They all leave my skin glowing. Like G-L-O-W-I-N-G. How obnoxious was that? Sorry.

They are always loaded with vitamin c, sea extracts, hyaluronic acid, olive esters, Manuka honey and a billionty more humectants, anti- aging ingredients and skin brighteners. The ones featured above are from Marshalls and cost just under $5 per box of 5 or 6 masks. I’ve also seen them here on Amazon.

Yes, they are made in Korea. Korean skincare is all the rage here in America. All the kids are doing it, so, we should play along and do it too. I dig it. I’m totally into it. I mean, look at how luminous, smooth and young everyone is looking these days without going to a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Take matters into your own hands and get your skin looking right.
Isn’t that the ultimate goal? To appear forever young.
